Has anyone had lasik surgery
And if so, whom did you use? And if possible how much and did insurance cover any of it?

I had it in 2001 at Stahl Eye Associates in Garden City. They have other offices in Suffolk cty and Manhattan. I highly recommend them!
My insurance at that time did not cover any of the cost, but that was almost 6 years ago. I recommend the surgey!!!

Dr Donnefeld at TLC in Garden City (Roosevelt Field Mall perimeter road) - none of it was covered by insurance. It was $4600 and the best thing I've ever done!! It was $1800 per eye plus $1000 for custom vue mapping.

I had it done in 2001 by Dr. Weinstein (sp?) in Commack.
Insurance did not cover mine.

Dr. Basicilice in Stony Brook... The Opthamalic Center... he was great... i think the total for both eyes was betwen $3-4K
A few girls on here have used him too!

My husband works with Dr. Donnefeld. He is one of the best!
