has anyone had pics done by Sears/ Picture People or any other "studio"
We really can't spend alot of $ on pro baby pics so we were thinking of doing studio pics. I think we've narrowed it down to Sear & Picture People. Any feedback on these or any others? I'd love to hear good & bad. tia

Never did Sears, but did Picture People. They have great coupons too that I'm sure you can find if you do a search.
Took DS there was he was 7 weeks and really liked the way the pics came out.

I went to Sears in Garden City and I would never go back. The picture quality wasn't the best; the person taking the pictures was very distracted, didn't do a good job posing the baby, and they were not helpful when looking at the pictures afterward.
Then they didn't give me the right poses in my order. I had to go back.
Kiddie kandids is offering 20% off at the moment. They also have a one pose pkg for 7.99.

Picture People user here and I love them. I just used JcPenney's recently and I will never go any where again but Picture People.
I have the membership and I have used it the whole year to get those three free 8X10 and the extra 10% off plus all those coupons you can get.
I have tons of photos and hung art haha! It addictive!
ETA: actually we plan to go tomorrow!
Biggest diff for me from JcP & PicPpl for me was that with Picture People I get to go home with my stuff. I hated waiting for JcP and the driving back to get them. Mostly cause I did them while my Dad was in town and I'm used to Picture People's way and was disappointed he had to go home without the photos.

We went to Sears in Garden City for Connor's 6 month photo. We made an appointment, he napped and ate, so he was all ready...but they were behind and we had to wait almost an hour and half. My baby wasn't too happy by the time they got to us. He scratched his forehead and I had to ask them to retouch that. The photographer was very young and seemed very nervous with my baby.
Did not like it.

Im in Queens so I just looked and saw they have one in Queens Center near me and they have a great coupon too...40% off a collection plus a free 8x10 plus $7.99 portrait pkg. Do you get a collection when you go and if so which one?

All Targets don't do them. I went to the on in Setauket. You can always get coupon from online also.

I went to Sears in Lake Grove and wasn't crazy about the whole experience. I felt really rushed during the photography session and had to change DD's outfits on the floor/carpet which I wasn't thrilled about either-guess I just thought there would be a blanket or something (luckily I had one). I thought the pics came out ok but the photog just wasn't that great with my DD and really seemd to want to get it over with and move on to the next person.
It was more expensive than I thought too (like around $150 or so) which was a bit of a surprise but that was really my fault for not researching, I guess. I'd probably try somewhere else next time tho.

I brought my own wings. I had been thinking of this for so long so I went out and got some on my own. Still have them too. Hahaha I brought the pedals too and of course her outfit and a wand.
they have lots of stuff but I had something in my mind that I wanted. They took photos with her in this costume with a miniature piano that were nice too but I didn't scan them and I bought a framed version of that one too! haha They made a killing on us. Then made a mistake and got a TON of stuff, framed etc for next to nothing.
ETA: I love the idea of oversized wings on a baby girl haha
Here's the piano one (sorry its REALLY a bad photo and still has the clear wrapper on it)

We used Sears a few times and the prices are so good BUT you have to have a photographer who actually cares and your kid has to be willing to listen and do the poses because the photographer just wants to get their quota of pics and thats it. They barely make any attempt to get a smile or anything. (This was my experience at the Massapequa one)
I made an appt for Sears again for DS' 3 year pics and if we get some jerk photographer again, we will just walk out like we did last year. But the chance we will get a few good shots is worth the time because the prices and quality are so good.
