Elzabeth's Year Old Pics from The Picture People
We went to Picture People for the first time on Friday. I was pretty pleased until the end when we went back to pick up the pictures after we ordered them. Here’s my story. I brought 2 outfits - a birthday outfit and a holiday outfit. My photographer (Jessica) told me that they really didn't have any props for the holidays. I thought that was a little weird, but whatever. The only things they used during the shoot was a block that Elizabeth stood in and a crappy old stool where the paint was chipping off (needless to say, I didn’t buy that photo).
Fast forward to when I reviewed and selected my images. The process was very rushed. At one point I wanted to remove something from my shopping cart and was told I couldn’t. Then later in the process I saw a remove button and called the person out on it and she removed it. After I ordered the pictures I was told to come back in about 10 minutes to review them.
When I went back to review my pics, I saw a few other people there that had their photos taken around the same time as Elizabeth. I saw their photos - one with a really cute snowman and the other with a really nice wood framed upholstered chair - both were not offered to me. The Picture People also brought out some of their photos for the other people already set up in frames enticing them to buy. They didn't do this for me either. Some of the pictures in the frames they brought out had some effects to the images (B&W, soft light, etc...) that I didn't even know was an option, nor was I offered them. I explained to the woman (probably the 4th person who helped me that day), that I was a little disappointed that 1. I wasn’t offered those props and 2. I didn’t know that you could add any effects to the images. She told me the props were new and my photographer probably didn’t know they had them and that if I wanted to come back to order more photos with effects I could. At that point I knew I wasn’t going to get anywhere and decided to just leave at that point. I’m going to email PP and see if I get anywhere, but I’m not really sure if I would go back again.
I actually spent less that I usually do at Kiddie Kandids.
Anyway…here are some of the pics.

Sorry to hear about the crappy experience you had with them. The pictures came out beautiful. I honestly can't pick a favorite! She is just gorgeous!!

I'm going to be honest that she needs NO props and the pictures are absolutely fantastic.
But I know what you mean about the rushed and poor service! That isn't good.
Where did you go? Roosevelt Field? I miss having them in Smithhaven, we had some great pictures taken of my family there when I was about 20.

ITA! That does stink  But the pictures are fantastic-- look at her eyes & lashes in that first pic LOVE that one especially!

Adorable! When I had my oldest I did the PP a lot. He was an easy smiler and I always got good pics but the photographers were awful and the props were always like that stool. I would bring my own props and get the free pic and one more for $10 but I found them to be pretty bad. Glad to see nothing has changed. 
She is such a cutie - can she even take a bad pic?

I'm sorry for your experience. That would really p*ss me off too.
Elizabeth is gorgeous as always and I agree with the others that said she needs no props... and is that plaid holiday dress the same one from Gymboree that I've been drooling over for the last two weeks?

I've had bad customer service from them in recent shoots (they used to be excellent, I don't know what happened) but I must say, the pictures are beautiful. I often find that their props are so beaten up and don't really add a lot to the pictures.
She is so adorable and great for photo shoots!
