Has anyone had their home checked for mold or air quality issues?
We have all been sick a lot since we moved almost 2 years ago. I am starting to think it's the house.
This house has forced air heating and central ac. I had the ducts and systems cleaned and also had uv lights installed in both units to prevent mold and bacteria growth.
Could it be something else? I have not seen mold or mildew any where. I am just starting to get really nervous.
Anyone have a similar concern? What was the out come?
Can anyone recommend a company?

Have you checked in your attic? A friend of mine had a bathroom vent that wasn't installed right and her attic ceiling was covered in mold

we tried these, and mold grew in the test kit. we sent them off to the address listed in the kit for further testing (for $30) but they sent a letter back stating the conditions did not allow for further testing.
so we hired a mold inspector ($500 for visit, and $110 for each air quality test). they set up a little machine that collects the air quality inside and outside to compare, and sends you a detailed report of what was found, and if any mold was found in the air, how to get rid of it in the safest way according to how much was found.
it was well worth it because i'd been sick for so long, when we finally found it and had it removed, i wasn't sick anymore.

Have you tested for radon gas? It is not as common in this area as in some other parts of the country but there are some areas that are known to have high levels like White plains. It is released from the ground so in theory it cold occur anywhere.
