Thoughts on this city? Any opinions on whether it is very family friendly/good education? Any input appreciated! TIA!

I did for a few years when I was a kid. Well, we lived on Hill AFB which is by Ogden, a suburb of SLC.
Very family friendly, very clean. I can ask my mom what she thought of the education, we went to school on the base but were part of the local school system.

I was born there and lived there my first two years. I have no recollection though. I have been back to visit a few times, most recently in December. I love it there. It is beautiful. I have no idea about the education system but I would move there in a second if it weren't across the country and away from my family.

I lived there from 2008-2010 and was a teacher. It's a very family oriented place also very cultural and very religious. It's beautiful, skiing is great. Coming from NY where I lived my whole life it was a hard adjustment. The schools are ok. Coming from NY they are a little behind and there is not a lot of money being poured I to the schools. There were not a whole lot of text books so I had to do alot on my own, worksheets, manipulatives etc. I was a great experience I meet alot of great people. The actual city is not THAT busy. Park city is beautiful and more lively as they have different liquor laws than SLC. I don't know if you drink or not but SLC has some crazy liquor laws. Haha.

Great place if you are uber religious and don't drink beer.
I'm there at least 2x a year for meetings and a few years ago I was there for almost 2 weeks to go to the Olympics.
I do my best to fly in and out on the same day.
Southern Utah is stunning!

Heavy LDS (Mormon) influence - my mom moved there 4 years ago for work. Family friendly but can be difficult for people who are non LDS and not interested in converting in some areas. As a couple PP's noted, not exactly "drink friendly" and that includes wine.
Check out the city-data forums for more details.
