Has anyone made a gym in their house?
DH and I want to start making a gym in our house. Did you buy everything right away or gradually build it up? What are some good places to look for equipment?

we are planning on it
I was going to check out craigs list to start
I ideally want a treadmill and eliptical
some free weights for me 5, 10, 15lbs and a yoga ball
DH already has 1 thing- a kick bag for kick boxing and he needs a heavy bag for punching
I wouldn't even know where to start in terms of weight lifting equipment for him- he can pick that

We turned our basement in a gym. We have a treadmill, elliptical machine, DH has weights in there, we have a flat screen mounted on the wall so I can put in my step reebok dvd to do step aerobics to. There is a website that DH ordered the equipment for and get a nice discount.

Our extra BR has a treadmill, a weight bench and an ab roller. We bought it all together. I hate the gym!!! I like doing it at home w/ DH.

Phil did. He has the bowflex, 2 benches and weights in the basement.
We also have a treadmill, but that is in our family room with my free weights. I refuse to put the treadmill in the basement. I hate being in the basement.

We did! DH made one of our spare bedrooms into one. Last year, we bought a 3 station Weider machine. We also have a treadmiil in there & some free weights. We are getting an ellptical this weekend

We have started. We have a precor, an ab scissor, core secrets ball, bike and free weights. DH has a big weight machine at his old apartment but it won't fit here.
I had a pilates machine and total gym but got rid of them for the precor.

I have my own stuff at the house... a treadmill, a stationary bike, dumbbells, mat for the floor, & TV.
DH used to have a big all in one home gym thing, but it is at his parents house still. we don't really have room for it, but DH prefers to work out at a gym anyway.

We've started too...I have a total gym, free weights and I yoga ball in the room so far, eventually I want to put a treadmill in there too
