Has anyone purchased discounted flood ins. since the new zoning came out?
We got a quote from our agent for $388, which is a no brainer, but is our rate going to skyrocket for next year? I didn't ask her because I got the emailed quote in my email and it was too late to email her back on Fri. Does anyone know? I'm guessing that it's going to be discounted for one year and then be more like 2K next year. Right?

Our house was located in the flood plain and we were SHOCKED! So, we started to look into rates and when we rechcked the FEMA web site and spoke with the Town, it was determined our house was NOT in the flood plain.
All I can recommend is check with the companies FEMA contracts with re: flood insurance.
