Has anyone refinanced lately? If yes, who did you go through?
I have WAMU but their rates are never the best. Just curious to see if banks are even giving out refi's these days.
If yes, what do the refi rates look like these days?

I refied last month with Sovereign. I happened to see them dip down to 4.875, which was only for 2 days. Now I think they're back up to 5.25

Re: Has anyone refinanced lately? If yes, who did you go through?
I am refinancing through my loan officer (if i knew better i'd go directly to a bank and cut out middle man) so I'm not sure which bank she is using but we locked when they went up last week out of fear at 5.25 and were offered a one time no charge float down so we plan to float it down before closing since the rates are going down.
My friend is using BFCU and they are at 4.875 right now.

a lot of banks are being really shady right now, offering things that llok great but there is always a catch of like a PMI or something.
My dh is a broker and just re fi'd a bunch of my friends and family. Let me know if you would like his info.
good luck

My friend just refinanced through them and got that rate. She is really happy and told me to call them.

We just refi'd through Bethpage Fed Credit Union and got 4.875% - we closed last week.
The rate was great but I felt they were very very disorg do to the high levels of traffic and we almost didn't meet the deadline before our rate lock expired. We dealt directly with them, no broker...
HTH!!

We're refinancing through Teacher Federal Credit Union. So far it as been a disaster with them losing our papers, mixing our info w/another customer's, and just being so slow b/c of the amount of people trying to refinance. However, I'm trying to stay optimisitic b/c currently the rate is 4.25% for a 15 year mortgage.

Another reason, why you need to go through a broker lol. Hi Al
