Has anyone seen the HBO documentary "Ganja Queen"?
If you have HBO on demand, check this documentary out. I think my jaw was on the floor the whole time. It was insane!!! Its about a 27yr old Australian who was arrested in Bali, Indonesia after 4.2 kilograms of marijuana was found in her boogie-board bag. Check it out if you can!
This is a site I found after I watched the documentary.

Re: Has anyone seen the HBO documentary "Ganja Queen"?
I watched it last year and I was so disturbed by it I didn't even know what to think or say.
How aweful. It's just...I'm still speechless about it.
Do you know if there are any updates on her situation?
I haven't tried looking, just wondering if you found anything?

I watched it. It was interesting and scary.
I think her brother probably hid it in her bag.

You know, there was DEFINITELY something fishy going on with the brother and her father.

The half brother right?? I totally thought that and still think that! He was just way too laid back about the whole thing.

The last I know of is her trying to get transferred out of their prison and it was denied. She's been there for 4 years already

Re: Has anyone seen the HBO documentary "Ganja Queen"?
I was so TOTALLY obsessed about this last summer. I even had a friend in London get me her book (not sold in the US)--it's even more gruesome than the documentary bc it is a diary she kept from the first night through the trial.
The story is UNREAL

It was really hard to watch!! I felt so bad for her. Watching her breakdown like that was terrible.

I was interested in reading her book. I didn't know it wasn't sold here. Bummer.

I think she was definitely set-up and it so sad.
This poor girl has been railroaded...
I remember feeling so upset and wanting to do something to help.
