Has anyone stopped and started Weight Watchers a number of times??
When I first signed up for WW, after my daughter was born, I did it with my best friend. We went EVERY WEEK. Didnt miss for about 6 months. Thats when I lost the most. But then she couldnt go with me anymore, my grandmother passed away and my dad got sick. So I quit going and of course quit dieting.
Since then...I have been back many times. I stay for about 3 months, then lose my way again.
I want to join again tomorrow..but I am SO embarrassed. Are these people going to think I am nuts. I want to continue doing it not only for weight reasons but for health reasons as well. Is there anyone else who has stopped and started a few times? Id love to hear that I am not the only one!

I am a multiple drop out.
Have you thought about doing it online? Then you don't have to deal with people, though I am sure you are not the first one to come and go.
I am doing it online. It's just easier for me- I don't know how I'd get to meetings.

I did it once before. THere are tons and I mean tons of people at the meeting who are returnees.
I had huge success the 2nd time. I am a lifetime member and have kept the weight off for over 2 years now.
Don't be embarrassed.....the staff never judges you.

me me me. I joined for my wedding a lot mucho weight and stopped going. Since then I joined numerous times, but didn't last long.
Now I've been on for almost 16 weeks. So far so good, I hope I can keep it up. But going to the meetings is now part of my routine.

I've done this too. The staff sees this all the time- I can see why you'd feel embarrassed but try not to worry about it. The important thing is that you are going back! Good luck

me. I joined years ago but never stuck to it. Joined in 2005 and lost almsot 60 lbs. And now I am trying to join again since I gained at leat 50 back I'm weighing in this moring for the 4th time in 2 months. I really promise myself that I am going to stay OP now.
ETA, no one judges, they welcome everyone back. And I am sure there are leaders there that joined several times before hitting their goal and benig able to work there. You're not alone

Re: Has anyone stopped and started Weight Watchers a number of times??
between 1996 and 2007 i joined about 6 times. i lost a little weight, got distracted or didn't have the money or time to keep off the weight. in 2007 i joined and finally got to a lifetime weight. unfortunately since then i have gained the weight back. i am trying now to get back to my lifetime without going to ww to weigh in. i have the old books and should be able to do it. i think this is completely normal.
