Has anyone taken classes at St. Charles?
I just got the summer schedule for all of their classes but was wondering if anyone had feedback on them. I'm interested in lamaze/childbirth, breastfeeding, infant CPR and possibly the child care lectures.
If you can give me some feedback on any of these classes I'd appreciate it! Thanks.

Re: Has anyone taken classes at St. Charles?
I did not take the classes at St. Charles. I took a lamaze/birthing class through my OB and it included a tour or St. Charles.

Re: Has anyone taken classes at St. Charles?
Hi, I took the CPR it was really great and informative I would def go to that one. I also took the from here to maternity which was good too. I have the breastfeeding next week and when baby comes home the week after so I can let you know after I go. So far the classes I have been too have been really great and they are well attended and very informative. I am not taking Lamaze because I did hypnobirthing instead but I am sure that one is good too.

I just got a letter in the mail from my ob saying if I wanted to take classes at St Charles I should call them now. How did you get the schedule of the classes?

Re: Has anyone taken classes at St. Charles?
I'm due to deliver at St. Charles as well in early October... when is your due date?
I haven't taken any classes yet and would love some advice too on what classes are recommended? My DH does not want to take a Lamaze class since I take yoga and he feels its useless; but I was curious about any others that might be worth while. Looking forward to responses!

Re: Has anyone taken classes at St. Charles?
I think the lamaze class goes over the entire childbirth process, not just breathing, as it is an 8-hour class (or three 3-hour classes). I can't imagine 8 hours of breathing techniques!
I called the number on the St. Charles website to get the schedule... I guess they don't mail or e-mail anything b/c the woman gave me the whole thing over the phone (took about 20 mins!) If anyone is interested, FM me and I will send you the schedule (I put it into an Excel file!)

Re: Has anyone taken classes at St. Charles?
I took Lamaze there. I chose the 2 Saturday option (I think it was from 9-2). I felt it was very informative and the woman who taught it was really sweet. Thus includes a tour of the L&D and Maternity unit.
Some of this stuff is common sense, but I enjoyed it anyway.

Re: Has anyone taken classes at St. Charles?
I took a class that was offered by Caroline Bittner who is affiliated with St. Charles. I found her info through by OB. If you want her info, you can call my OB's office to find out when and where she is offering the classes. She usually does it once a month on a Saturday with a tour of the hospital at the end of the class. Call: Dr. Ninia 331-0500
