Has anyone taken out an IUD to TTC?

Has anyone taken out an IUD to TTC?
So we decided to start in Dec. or January  but I have to take the IUD out. Do they do it while you have AF and is it as uncomfortable taking it out as it is putting it in?

I had the paraguard IUD for 6 years, and loved it! When we decided to start TTC I went to the midwives I use, for a routine exam and asked her to also remove the IUD, she did, and it was very quick and I didn't have any pain at all. I got pregnant 2 weeks later!

Thank you..I have the paraguard also and love it. I only have it for a year though.

Trust me, part of me can't believe I typed it either  , but last night DH was serious about having another and he said he misses me being pg, especially when he see someone that is  . I think he isn't so against because he see's that it is getting easier and the closest that DD and baby #3 would be is 28 months so he is ok with that.
