TTC frustration (TMI and long)
So according to mymonthlycycles I was supposed to O last Wednesday. I didn't get anything on the OPK so we BDed for a few nights "just in case". Well I woke up yesterday with a "twinge" so I used my last CBE digital and got my . I told DH we had to BD so we got to business and he couldn't "finish". I said that it was ok and we would wait and try again later. Well we tried again and the same thing happened. I think it was just the pressure that got to him. He was so upset because he wants this as much as I do. I have my gyno appt. today anyway to discuss our options. We have been trying for 6 months now and I am over 35 so the Dr wanted to see me now.

Re: TTC frustration (TMI and long)
I am sorry...that must have been upsetting. I think it must be really hard on the DH's. Honestly, there have been some days where I am so not feeling it, but I went with it anyway for TTC. Men kinda have to be into it....and being that he wants this as much as you, it must be so hard.

Re: TTC frustration (TMI and long)
I'm so sorry. That has happened to us many times also.
There's a lot of pressure on our DH's to perform at one exact moment - and as much as they may want to have a baby, the pressure is often too much on their minds that they can't just enjoy the physical aspects.
We're all here for you

Re: TTC frustration (TMI and long)
oh Andrea - i'm so sorry about this.
The number of times I have gone through this exact thing is embarassing. That is why i no longer tell Dave when i'm o'ing....though he can usually tell (by the moisture down below)...it just puts less pressure on him...
if you need to talk - i'm here....

Re: TTC frustration (TMI and long)
i totally know how you feel... DH and I went through this too... he knew when i was Oing because of the on the OPK.. .he just couldnt finish.. so i kept it a secret from him after that... he knew around the time i was Oing... but never knew the actual day.. i think it takes the pressure off a little easier .

Re: TTC frustration (TMI and long)
I'm so sorry that happened. DH has had that happen as well -- its just so much pressure to perform. We made a deal that I wouldnt tell him when I'm Oing so that it doesnt make ttc so "scientific" for him. He still kind of knows when I'm Oing (or when I'm close) but since we dont actually talk about it, he doesnt think about it as much.

*** UPDATE Re: TTC frustration (TMI and long) UPDATE
Well I think that I am just not going to tell DH next time I O. We went to the Dr today and came up with the next step. DH will have to go for semen analysis and after my next AF make an appt for HSG. He also took blood today to start some tests. DH was happy because he got to speak to the Dr and have his questions answered. So hopefully in the next 3 weeks we will have some answers.
Thanks for all of your support.
