Has anyone used a dog sitter? Do you have a recommendation?
We are going away and usually my parents watch my shih tzu but they aren't able to this time. I haven't ever had a dog sitter before and I'm nervous, how does it work? I'd prefer that someone come to my home to check in on her not have her boarded some place. She doesn't have that kennel cough vaccine and is older so I'm concerned it would be too much for her.
Do you have any recommendations in Suffolk? Tia!

Im a pet sitter. You pay per day. I feed, walk, play, clean up after your pet..give meds if needed. Sometimes I go 2x a day or whatever owner requests.

where are you located? I have sat for many animals and have references. I know exactly how you feel, we tried to board my little dog...he HATED it :(

My dog sitter is a tech at our vets office. I called and asked if any of the girls there do dog sitting. Who better to take care of my girl than the ones that know her best?
The sitter stays over night with her. I believe she charges $30 per day (plus I stock the house with her favorite snacks and anything else food/drink-wise). Besides taking care of the dog she brings in the mail and waters my plants.
