Has anyone used a mattress for the pack and play
We are going to Charleston this weekend to see my sister and I wonder if it is worth it to buy a mattress for the pack n play to make it more comfortable. Has anyone used one of these before?
TIA

Re: Has anyone used a mattress for the pack and play
We have one for the PNP and it seemed to help Lucas because he hated it in there before. Now he will play in there with the mattress down and once in a very blue moon sleep. If we had to use it while on vacation I think the mattress, for Lucas, would be necessary. But if Miki will sleep regardless...it might not be necessary.
Yeah...no help...sorry!

We used the quilted sheet for the PNP and it seemed to work fine while we were away for a week in FL. Maybe that will work?

I put a nice long fluffy bath towel under the sheet.

We used a mattress for my daughter and probably will for my son. We didn't use it in the bassinet part we used it for the playpen part.

Re: Has anyone used a mattress for the pack and play
Lily sleeps in a pack & play pretty often since we travel alot. I usually put a blanket between the sheet & the mattress that came with it and she sleeps fine like that. I didn't even know they made a mattress. That's good to know.

I have the Sealy Portable Crib and Toddler Bed Mattress from Babies R Us. It was only $20 and worth it to make my son more comfortable.

Oh goodness.... looks like I have been depriving K... haha....
Honestly tho - since we've been back in NY until her room is ready, she has slept in the PNP every night, and she has been fine, and sleeps perfectly through the night!

This is another one of those things I would have no clue about if it weren't for LIF ....who knew they made a PNP crib mattress?!! I had no idea!

my mom just told me about this. I think I may just try a blanket under the sheet and see how that goes. If not there is a BRU right near my sister that we can try too
Thanks ladies

19.99 at BRU...a lot more comfy than that padded wood that comes with it.

I LOVE the mattress for the PNP! I felt he slept great when we put it in, it added that extra comfort IMO.

Re: Has anyone used a mattress for the pack and play
Well, DS had it rough with us too, because we didn't buy the mattress. He slept in the bassinet part for 3.5 months too, but it didn't seem to bother him. He actually did not like his crib in the beginning.
We did buy quilted sheets for it, so that seemed to make it cushier.

Re: Has anyone used a mattress for the pack and play
I bought a waterproof all organic mattress pad, they sell them for PNPs at BRU. I got one for crib and one for PNP, makes it very soft but not too soft so they can sleep on and still be safe.

Me too!! I never saw them in the stores. I have to get one for poor DS who has to sleep in a PNP when we visit my parents upstate. I just had the quilted cover.
