Has this ever happened to anyone (registry question)
My shower was March 18th - I wasn't supposed to know about it, but I found out by accident so of course, in the month of March I began peeking into my registry...
I noticed one of the 1st things purchased was the Fisher Price Soothing Motions Glider - a sort of bassinet that rocks back and forth. It is $74.99. I was so excited because I really wanted it...
Well, my shower came and went. No one gave me the glider. People who couldnt make it to the shower sent gifts, I had people visit and bring me gifts. No glider!
I'm just wondering what happened - did someone buy it and then return it for something else so now its listed as purchased on the registry? If someone did get it for us, and just have not had a chance to get it to us, I'm afraid Cailen will be too big for it or not even need it... and, I think it would really help with his sleeping issues if we had it because its constant motion and will rock him to sleep...
Has this ever happened to anyone, where something you wanted appeared to be purchased off your registry but never received it? If I re-register for it, won't people wonder why I would want another one?
also, I think the gift-buying is winding down anyway...

This happened to me. It was with a bath tub though. My friend said she returned it and never mentioned to them that it was off the registery so it looked like it was purchased and I never received it.

This happened to us with our Diaper Genie. We ended up getting it a couple months later from BIL's girlfriend who did come to my shower. But I was confused too.
Maybe someone bought it and is saving it for a special occassion?

Its for such a young baby though - its one of those things you give right away...
oh well, its not that we are lacking in stuff for him, but I was so happy when I saw it purchased, and was so overwhelmed at the shower with stuff I didnt even realize until after that we never got it... and now we are getting so much stuff delivered to us - and each time i think - maybe this is the glider....
its just so baffling!!!

I would just buy it yourself and then if you happen to get it from someone you can always return theirs. At least you will have it for him to use now.

Excellent point. Save your receipt since BRU changed their return policy.
