In my school the K and 1st are hatching chicks we are all very excited about this.. well anyway, one chick hatched today. I told the science teacher that I have a heating lamp we can use (so she doesnt have to buy one) and that I would buy the bulb for it, to make sure its the correct one for the lamp. She told me to get 100W. My heating lamp is one used for reptiles. The bulb i bought says its good for "nocturnal viewing for all types of captive animals" hampsters, reptiles.. etc.. it is a heating bulb.

We need it for when the chicks can come out of the incubator and we put them in a tank. Does anyone know if that is the write wattage? I dont want to fry the poor things.
