Hate job

If you hate what you do, lol....did you know what you would like to be doing instead? I know I am sick of what I do but there really isn't anything I am passionate about doing. I just don't know what my skills/education will allow me to do instead.

Sorry Christine it stinks getting up everyday and going somewhere you dread. I can't imagine how much harder it is to go and leave your little man.

I am starting to feel like you. I don't hate my job but I feel unfulfilled doing it. The only thing preventing a chimp from doing my job is the speech barrier. I hate feeling like any idiot could do this and it just turns out I am the idiot that does do it.

I am thinking of going back to school for my masters and doing a completely different career. I would continue working at my current job until I finished school.

Have you gone to any career fairs to see what some of the other options are? Scan the classifieds in the Sunday paper. They will give you a good idea of job requirements and salary. You could use that to see where you would fit in.

I needed that!! I would go to a carreer fair if I wasn't so lazy!! Why didn't I listen to my mother. She told me to marry rich. I think if I was doing the same thing but on Long Island, it wouldn't be so bad. This commute is killing me. Thanks for making me laugh

If I were you I would stay where you are right now even though you say you hate it, alot of people HATE their jobs but right now - most people are "hunkering" down and staying where they are.... Feel free to
look while you're there, sure but I would be very cautious in todays times... Good luck to you and to all of us.. We all need it.

I hear ya.I'm trying to hang on for as long as I can! I've been miserable for a while now though. To the point where my husband tells me it's not worth it and to just quit. We cannot live on his salary so I guess I have to suffer until things pick up. I know I am not alone here!!

lol i think i definitely fall under this category! i dont hate my job, but i dont love it. i feel like im just wasting my life away doing it so im just frustrated. i'd LOVE to go back to school and become a teacher but at 31, i think its too late. i just feel stuck and its a horrible feeling.
