Re: Have any of you married ladies changed your e-ring setting

We changed mine. It was my Mom's ring and when I was looking at rings, I feel in love with the same setting. My Mom had passed so it was extra special to use it, then one day the platinum warped, and we had to reset it. The jewler told me over time this can happen to platinum, so it is set in white gold , I used the same center stone and set it with 2 sapphires on each side. I love it so much, and it means a lot to me becuase it was my Mom's stone and my DH birthstone too. Chat Icon

I'm looking into a differnt setting, I have gold and I want white gold and a totally different setting. I'm thinking about going to Elsa's, I hear she does great work and his very reasonable.

I picked a sort of unusual setting, and I love my ring but I wish I'd picked something more classic and conventional. Though I tossed out the idea to DH once and he got a little upset. So I let it go but would still like to change it. If/when we have a child I may see how he feels about using the e-ring setting for the baby's birthstone.

I am thinking about doing it.
I would like it if my diamond was raised more in the setting

Re: Have any of you married ladies changed your e-ring setting

i had a really hard time finding a wedding band so i asked dh if i could change the setting..
well that got him VERY upset..
so i know that wont be happening

needless to say i found a wedding band, and i love it, but i still wish my ring was set higher so my wedding band fit against it

this is similar to my problem. my ring is a tiffany setting but it's not high enough. it rubs against the w-ring. I think it's because of the prongs. so now I have to wear them separately and I am not happy about it Chat Icon
