Yes, with my former boss about 5 years ago. He had announced to the office that he was taking an LOA to have bypass surgery (he was 78 and still worked full-time). Everyone cried. He just passed away 2 weeks ago at 83. He was a remarkable man.

Yes.

Someone very close to me passed away recently and I was being questioned about taking a personal day to go the the funeral/wake/burial.

It was still a very sensitive subject for me, and although I was annoyed that I was even being questioned about it, it hurt more to talk about her and how sad and upset I was about her passing away.

Yes - I have been with my boss for 10 years and I have gone through alot in that time.

Actually, my boss used to be my coworker before she was my boss, and I cried to her in the bathroom one day when I found out my friends father was killed in an accident. So I guess that may be considered a yes.

Yes, when I got news my grandmother passed away and I tried stopping, but the tears flowed. He hugged me and told me to take all the time I needed and offered to help my family with anything they needed.

But believe me, there were so many times I locked myself in a bathroom stall and had a good cry. Some of the men I used to work with were just azzes!

Yes...at my old job a long time ago. I was really struggling and I just broke down. I had a really good relationship with him at the time.

Once in my first serious job when I was like 21...NEVER again and NEVER will...I keep ALL of my personal life and issues to myself.

One more time. I cried with my old boss when her daughter died. I don't thin there was anyone in the room that didn't cry.

The only time my bosses saw me cry was at my wedding and when my grandpa passed away.

Yes once.... I was so angry during one of my reviews and the raise that I was getting. MY eyes started to well up as I told him I wasn't signing the review and could keep the pocket change.

thankfully never.

a few jobs ago i worked for a real azz who almost made me cry a few x's and i woudl always sit there and say to myself "dont cry - dont do it" and not even listen to a thing he would be ranting about.

I replied yes. I cried to my new boss.

I took a new position with a tough client - My boss at the time (who has since been fired) was telling the team that he had a crush on me and how he wanted to do sexually explicit things to me. It made for an extremly stressful work enviornment (I work with all men).... anyway - the tears were tears of relief that my old boss had been fired and that my new boss had my back.

Yes, once in front of my old boss. I made a HUGE mistake on something for a client that couldn't be fixed and I felt so terrible about it and when I went in to her office to tell her about it I just broke down.

I have cried, but not real tears, the kind where you're holding back, so I put "other." Not sure if that counts.

Yes, more than once - infertility su cks and unfortunatley I get bad news at work all too often

Yes, once, my old boss, the day after my father had a massive stroke. My boss was about my Dad's age.

Come to think of it, the whole office was crying.
