Have you ever read something that really touched you?
I think I will re-read "Death of a Salesman". Definitely made me think.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith One True Thing by Anna Quindlen And Never Let Her Go by Ann Rule (true crime, but I really felt for the victim- so sad.)
I am reading What Remains by Carole Radziwill and I know I will be thinking about this story for a long time.

Me too! I don't know what it is about it, but I just loved it!! I remember I looked all over to try and find a copy so I could have a copy to keep.

This is actually James Patterson- This book had the same effect on me as did The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks (actually most of his books do), Lonely Bones and Night.

These are two of mine as well (I think you have GREAT taste in books!)
I also was moved deeply by To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee Paula, by Isabel Allende Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner
If I think of more, I will post them

Me too. I read all of them in the span of a few weeks. I was so addicted. Besides these, I would say "the 5 people you meet in heaven" by Mitch Album and "One True Thing" by Anna Quindlen

Re: Have you ever read something that really touched you?
Night by Elie Wiesel. I read it in hs and could not stop crying. Every time I read it it touches me. I had the privilege of hearing Elie Wiesel talk at my college and it was so moving.
I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb also touched me. It was so well written.

Hollie, you just reminded me how Maus I and II really affected me - especially because I got to hear Art Spiegleman talk about my school.
