Having a bad day/night
Lily's still having problems pooping and I'm not sure if I'm handling it the right way. And once again she's not sleeping through the night anymore. She was (finally) sleeping from 9ish-6ish for the past week and now we're back to waking up in the middle of the night. The past 2 nights she was up at 4 and now tonight she slept from 7:30-10:30 and I can't get her back to sleep. I tried a bottle. Nothing's working. Now I'm letting her cry. This stinks. We're leaving for vacation on Saturday and I'm really not looking forward to it. I don't know how I'm going to handle this in a hotel.

Re: Having a bad day/night
One of the beautiful things about small children is that they go through phases! So while you are having a bad phase right now, next week, you might have a wonderful phase!!
So just keep your pecker up and hope for change!!
Just FYI...don't worry too much about being a hotel, just remember my story. I took my 14 month old from the UK to Florida, on the connecting flight he SCREAMED for 3 hours, we got there took him to 2 emergency rooms and finally after 3 days of no sleep and screaming found out he had double ear infections. THEN just after he got better, 2 days before we were due to go thome BAM, the kid got chicken pox, we had to stay a whole extra week!!! Cost us thousands, THEN there were storms in the NE so we were stranded, THEN my husband got gastroenteritis.
So I dare you to have a worse holiday than that!!!

Try using glycerin suppositories. I use them with dd and they help her to go. You may want to use one everyday for a couple of days to help clear her out but check with her ped. first.

Re: Having a bad day/night
Thanks, ladies. Lily finally did sleep from 12:30-almost 8:30. We're going to the dr. tomorrow for her 6 month check up so I'll see what she says about the pooping. I know the vacation will be nice (I pray that nothing happens like your experience Racheee! You poor thing!) We'll be at my parents' time share in Hilton Head with them so it will be nice (as long as my dad doesn't drive me insane.) They are so excited to see Lily since they haven't seen her since March. DH & I will get a chance to get out by ourselves which we haven't done since Lily was born.
