Having a second baby and I don't know how we can afford it!!!
I'm so nervous. We live paycheck to paycheck and finances are really tight. On one salary we wouldn't even be able to cover the mortgage.
I'm just feeling very anxious about how we will afford this.
I know people say - you always find a way. Well, we did that with the first and don't have anymore "ways" to find.
I have to work but two kids in daycare -holy moly.
Anyone else live paycheck to paycheck and then have another kid?

my suggestion...get one babysitter to watch both kids in your home.

I was going to say the same thing. that will save you $$ compared to what youd pay for 2 kids in daycare. good luck!

I agree. Get someone to come to your home to babysit.
Or maybe share a babysitter with a friend?

ITA.
I do hear you though. If we ever opted for a third, DH & I already agreed that I would probably need to quit my job.

That can be pretty pricy too though right...........???????
And, DH would hate having someone in our house all day.

Re: Having a second baby and I don't know how we can afford it!!!
I wanted to say congrats and I have a friend in the same situation as you. when the baby came my friend was able to be home with her and work pt to cover some bills. they did the bare minimums with cable, the phone, cell phone was emerg only, no more nails and hair dye she did herself, they budgeted food shopping, she made a lot of the babys food, she went out east to buy fresh veggies cheap. you can do it, dont get overwhelmed right now, start looking now for someone who can watch both children in your home. look in the pennysavers I see them all the time, get references, maybe you can do pt summer work while a college student babysits for the summer. none of us would have babies if we waited till we were financially set where we want to be.

see now if I were a sahm and watched others kids I wouldnt overprice anyone bc I know how hard it is. But see what others think....what do you think the bare minimum is that she can give for 2 in home? I am thinking "maybe 350??? not great but maybe someone could appreciate it. Maybe someone that Stays at home with their child? this is 40 hrs right? also what about dh and you working opposite hrs?
