can you ladies recommend some nice mid-priced hotels? we preferably want the hotel to be on the beach so we don't have to drive to any beaches. thanks!!

Re: Hawaii hotels
In Kauai we stayed at the Marriott...it was really, really nice and cheaper than the Hyatt and Princeville resort.
In Maui, we stayed at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel...it was nice, but nothing fancy.

Re: Hawaii hotels
I highly recommend the Westin in Maui on Ka'anapali Beach. DH and I walked up and down the strip and agreed it was on of the nicest hotels there.
Hope this helps!

Re: Hawaii hotels
We also stayed at the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel in Maui. I wouldn't recommend staying there. The rooms are kind of dingy. I would go to the Hyatt or Westin instead.

We stayed at the Westin in Maui and loved it -- The beds were the most comfortable I have ever been in

Re: Hawaii hotels
We stayed at the Hyatt on Kauai, and Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui. Loved both, but I would not say that they were mid priced. It was our honeymoon, so we splurged. If we were to go back anytime soon, I'd look at the Marriotts.

Re: Hawaii hotels
we stayed at the maui marriott and loved it. it's midpriced. right on the water. not on the beach but a short walk away. we got a free upgrade to an ocean view. i attached a pic of our view.
we also stayed at the sheraton in kauai. not as inexpensive though. very nice and right on the beach but we didn't have an ocean view and weren't given a free upgrade when we asked. still great though. Image Attachment(s):
