HCG shots....

so DH is getting off the clomid and they are starting him on HCG injections. We picked up the script and it was just a generic hcg with 2 bottles - one was the hcg and the other was a water solution it has to mix with.

Has anyone used this before? What is the procedure for mixing? We are going to the dr tommorrow so he can show us how to use it but wanted to get the heads up before hand so im not overwhelmed at the drs.

Thanks

Re: HCG shots....

basically, you draw some water from the solution bottle with a large needle, then inject it into the bottle with the hcg powder so it mixes and creates a solution.
you then change the needle to a smaller one and draw the new solution into the needle - you then inject that into yourself.

I had the dr show me several times, and was super nervous about remembering how do do it - so she ended up doing it for me anyway Chat Icon
after she showed me i realized it really was easy.

and no, it doesn't hurt if you do it on the fatty part of your arm (or wherever they tell you to inject it)

Thanks so much for your reply! So once the water solution is in the other bottle - it stays mixed and the next time you dont have to mix it? The solution is supposed to provide 5 shots worth. (he gets 3 times a week)
