He did it!!! DS slept in his crib instead of RNP last night AND....

...no swaddle!!!

I just got up the nerve and did it! I thought we were gonna have a rough night, but he was GREAT!

I swaddled him just around his belly - no arms/no legs. His startle reflex DEFINITELY went down from even a month ago, so I'm glad I waited until now (6 months). I didn't turn on the mobile because I thought that would keep him awake. He didn't cry, fuss... ANYTHING! He slept from 7p to 7ish am, which is what he did in the Rock N Play. I was worried all this time for nothing!

The only difference was that he was awake in his crib just playing with his feet from 2p until 3:30a! And he spun all the way around so his head was where his feet were, which stinks because I have the crib on an incline for his reflux, so now he was on a DEcline! Plus, he wasn't in the line of sight of my video camera anymore, so I went in at about 3am, didn't look at him and just turned him back to his spot and left. He didn't cry or anything! And he was asleep 20-30 minutes later.

I'm SO happy I... I mean HE did it!!!!

Good luck to anyone who still has to make the transition! I definitely built it up in my head to be worse than it was! (What else is new? )

YAY! I made the mistake of leaving DS in the Rock and Play too long and we could never get him in the crib. Now I know better for when #2 comes next month.

Did you put him in awake or after he was already down?
Do you nurse? I only ask because DS as a newborn and still will only go to sleep if I nurse him to sleep and as much as I loved nursing, this is getting out of hand at 1.5yrs old lol.
