Heading to my Beta... 2nd Update on top
Nurse said it should be above a 50.
Beta 1: 47
Prog: 5
I am starting pio tonight. And I'm going back Saturday. Told to be cautiously optimistic.
Wtf ? I thought this would be different.
I'm pretty hysterical .
ETA: I spoke with the Dr just now. He said:
1. He's not worried about the beta because it is just a single number.
2. He is concerned with the progesterone level and thats why I have to take the PIO now.
3. I should "absolutely be optimistic"
4. My next steps if god forbid this does not work out is absolutely NOT IVF.
I feel a LITTLE better. Any of you TTC #2 ladies have low prog (5) and had successful pregnancies?

47 is better than 20. I know ppl with that low beta and prog and it worked out. And you KNOW I would give it to you straight.
Keep the faith. Praying 2nd beta & prog is better

I think your beta is fine...yes above 50 is optimal but your number is not doom and gloom. The progesterone is a little low but the PIO will bring that up ASAP. Congrats!!

I would not be upset about a 47. I know a bunch of people who had much lower and have beautiful kids now. One being my nephew!!!
