Re: Healthy Eats 4/15
breakfast: oatmeal bar warmed in the microwave and my awesome ginger green tea
lunch: one piece of ham with lettuce on potato bread ( THANKS FOR THE IDEA!!! )
afternoon snack: 90 calorie chewy granola bar
after work snack: 2% string cheese
dinner: steamed broccoli and some kind of ground turkey hamburger helper type thing - my dinners stink bc I have to cook for DH too so I just really try to watch my portions.
Also, today will be my third day straight of half hour on the elliptical, 100 crunches and pushups ( only like 10 pushups I am so weak! LOL )
I am also not eating anything after 8PM, I brush my teeth after dinner and the only thing I can have is my chamomile after that point!

NOT AT ALL! i'm just suprised that so many girls eat potato bread!! it is one of my FAVORITES..but i've always heard how fattening it is??? i guess it's not so bad after all! makes me so happy! lol..seriously! i try to stick w/whole grain/whole wheat just because i know fiber/protein add some oomf to burning away calories..but it's nice to know that every once in a while potato bread isn't a bad thing!

Re: Healthy Eats 4/15
also Tilde - any trainer/nutritionist i've ever talked to has always told me u should never feel hungry throughout the day..and if u do, EAT! if u dont ur body goes into starvation mode & will store ur fat.. instead eat small/healthy/filling things throughout the day...
so no - u are not eating too much! i find that eating fruit w/either cheese, yogurt, peanutbutter, or some nuts really keeps me full

thanks for the responses ladies!
and i bought the potato bread for my healthier sloppy joes so now i will use it until it runs out and then go back to the whole grain - it is great for a break though!
I am usually STARVING by the time I get home and I found myself cooking dinner as soon as I walked in so now I let myself have that extra snack and I work out before dinner so that is working well so far!
Just reading what everyone else eats I felt like I was eating too much LOL

well i don't think u're eating too much at all! it may help if u have a nice filling breakfast...this is your time to EAT..considering it'll set up ur metabolism & probably be burned off by afternoon...(esp.if ur working out doing cardio & such)..if u like oatmeal, i LOVE this
however i like the maple brown sugar flavor it's great because it has more protein/fiber & less carbs/fat than regular..I'll have one packet of that, w/a hardboiled egg - and then maybe a slice of cheese or some fruit(berries are GREAT in the morning!).. or to mix it up i'll have the same but w/a serving size of cheerios instead of the oatmeal..
i also used to get the whole wheat/whole grain pancake mix...make two & have them w/fruit&some yogurt.. haven't done that in a while! infact i'm gonna go buy some lol
i feel if i fill myself up in the morning w/good carbs & lots of protein/fiber it keeps me going throughout the day & actually helps me loose weight quicker!

DH made this wonderful discovery when he first did WW. He likes this bread so much more than whole wheat. It's 2 pts for 2 slices. So not bad at all. I think whole wheat is 2 per slice but it might be more. I like this better than whole grain bread because whole grain is still made with white flour whereas potato bread isn't, it's potatoes!

Re: Healthy Eats 4/15
OH MAN you girls are making me feel HUGE. I had a double cheeseburger today at wendy's for lunch ... AND fries (small at least) and a SODA. and I am drinking soda now.
I told myself I was "celebrating" my new job.
To top it off - I went to buy new clothes today and my normal size DID NOT FIT. I even tried on a skirt that was a size up from the normal and THAT DID NOT FIT.
I did go running / walking tonight. Really going to try to be better. (On the whole, I have been eating better for the last weeks or so. Seriously.) It will get better when I am working too, and not sitting in the house eating whatever I want.
I am going to start posting here tomorrow!!!!
