Heard the heartbeat today and got a new EDD
DH and I had our 2nd sonogram today, and I couldn't believe that we were able to hear our LO's heartbeat.  Seeing the flicker on the screen, made it all feel so real.
Due to my PCOS, I've always had long cycles, and so doing the EDD from my last period, seemed off to me. Turns out I was right and according to the measurements, I am NOT 9 weeks today, as all the calculators state by my LMP.
Instead I'm only 6 wks, and my new EDD is June 10, 2011. No may baby for me!
I'm slightly bummed because that means that I have 6 more weeks before I feel a little more "safe" at the end of the 1st trimester. But, what can ya do?

Seeing and hearing that little miracle heartbeat is always the best feeling.
Sorry to hear they pushed your EDD back. You never know, they may change it again!!

Great news!!! Even though you're not as far along as you thought, still with every passing week you will feel more and more safe- nothing magical about the end of the first tri. Every passing week will be a new milestone, and I'm sure everything will be fine anyway!!

Glad to hear it went well today & you got to see and hear the heartbeat! That's wonderful!!!
I have very long cycles too, and my EDD is completely based on the measurement of the baby at my first sono. According to my LMP, my due date would've been 12/9/10, but it's 1/7/11, so I know what you mean.  I knew I wasn't pregnant mid-way through my realllllly long cycle, so I had a better idea going in how far along I was, but those online calculators can definitely be misleading. Your doctor knows best, and it sounds like your baby is doing great!!!
