Re: Heart rate and gender
When I asked my doctor this he laughed but then replied, "generally we see lower heart rates in boys than in girls". Our HR was 150 since the beginning and never goes below 147. We are having a

Re: Heart rate and gender
They say that less than 140 is a boy and over is a girl. ALthough it was true for me with both my pregnancies, I wouldn't read too much into it.

Re: Heart rate and gender
Less than 140-150 is supposed to mean its a girl, and over that is supposed to mean boy.
It never held true for any of mine though. Both my boys HRs were always consistently between 140-160, and DD (the one I am PG with now) has consistently been between 150-160.

I think this is incorrect; well as incorrect as a wive's tale can be
Fast HR is supposed to mean a girl, slow HR is supposed to mean a boy.

Re: Heart rate and gender
The first time I had the heart rate checked on the doppler I asked this question. The nurse said high heart rate = girl, BUT she said it needed to be very high (@200) and at the end of the trem, b/c anything between 130 and 180 is considered within normal range until 35 weeks (or thereabout)
