Help - my boss wants me to sign
my performance eval today. I don't want to sign it. I don't agree with it. I didn't prepare a response yet. Plus I wanted to ask her what she meant when we spoke about a "transition plan" if I was unhappy...help!

Re: Help - my boss wants me to sign
at my old job, we had a chance to dispute anything we did not agree with on our evaluations, do you have that option where you can voice your opinions before signing it?
good luck

Re: Help - my boss wants me to sign
I had a situation like that in my last job, and didn't sign anything until I had a sit down with my boss and had prepared my response.

I agree, and did this as well. You are not obligated to sign it. If you cannot speak with her right now and want to take some time to put your thoughts together, let her know.
You can also speak with her manager or someone in HR.

Re: Help - my boss wants me to sign
Employees here can refuse to sign & write up an ammendment to the evaluation. When we see an ammendment, it's an automatic red flag to us that there could be a management issue.
I would start writing...

I had a situation like that in my last job, and didn't sign anything until I had a sit down with my boss and had prepared my response.
I did the same thing at an old job. My boss was giving me the run around and kept blowing me off. I finally put in a call to her manager, who I also worked with. The immediate boss was not happy with me. But she finally met with me and changed the things I did not agree with.
Good luck!
