Hello!

My fiance and I are about to purchase a new home. We are in love with a 1978 colonial BUT is has 3 big cracks in the basement concrete foundadtion walls. The walls are painted so its hard to see if there is water damage. They also have rug on the ground. We figure it would be our best bet to hire a structional engineer who writes up inspection reports then just get any old inspector.

Can anyone recommend someone who isn't a "friend" or "relative"... maybe someone they had a really good experience with after they had an issue? We really can't afford to pay for much repair after finding this house is a lemon.

So... please reccomend your structional engineers....
I will be forever in your debt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
