Help!!!!! Getting rid of an odor?
UGH, I can not take the smell anymore.
I have a freezer/fridge in my basement and 2 nights ago I went to get something from the freezer and as soon as I opened the Laundry room door (where the fridge/freezer is stored) I wanted to throw up. I box slid up against the freezer door and the door must have been open for 2 days......I am sure you can only imagine the smell. I removed all the food (chicken and chop meat) and sprayed the entire freezer down with bleach including the floor and outside of fridge. I have used baking soda ---placed both in the freezer and just on the floor in the laundry room and have also thrown down moth balls.
BUT I CAN STILL SMELL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
What else do I do????????????
I am ready to rip up the whole laundry room floor and throw everything out the door right now so I am looking for any and all advice!!!!!
Do I need to unplug the entire fridge and defrost it and reclean it???
do I need to rip up all the flooring????
PLEASE HELP A DESPERATE WOMAN!!!!!!!

There is some stuff i got once from the paint store that is a heavy duty smell remover. I can't remember the name of it but i've seen it at hardware and Home Depot type stores as well. its a small round cylindrical plastic container with a screw top that has holes in it. You unscrew it slightly and put it in the freezer/fridge. It has some gel in it that basically absorbs all the bad smells within a day or so.
Good luck!

I would open all of the windows and doors to the room. Take everything out of the fridge, un-plug it, lysol wipe it down, keep arm and hammer in it with the fridge door open.
