help, how would you do window treatments on this window?
In out last house we had a similar window with a bar across the top with valance and side panels, and blinds on the windows.
This is throwing me off because its 10 feet across, and not exactly one window, it is 3 seperate windows. when the tree is not there we have 2 accent chairs and small table in front of the window. how would you decorate here? it is very private, no one can see if the window... so it would only be for decor not privacy. (no blinds!!) pics would be helpful!

I would do four floor-length panels - one framing each of the outside windows, and the other two between the middle and outside windows.

I would use thin decor rods with small or no finials (one for each window).

Yes, I agree. You can get them in Target really cheap.
I have a window just like that in my dining room and I have a major double rod contraption to hang up a valance and curtains underneath. It was a major pain to hang and if I had to do it over I would so exactly what Leeners recommended.
I am actually afraid to change the curtains because I don't want to touch the existing setup.

can you show me what kind of rods? there is like no room between the windows,, what you see in the picture is "double" the usable space because its angled.

not sold on roman shades, i would always want them open all the way so would it make sense to get those?
Now that curved rod could work. Where would I buy something like that? (I am clueless about this stuff, can you tell?)

This is exactly like what I have, except mine is a double.
I got it at the curtain store on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa years ago... I think that store may have closed down though?

Re: help, how would you do window treatments on this window?
I have a very similar window in my living room and currently we have roman shades but we are switching over to curtains. The shades were here when we bought the house a couple of months ago and it's one of the last things to go. We are going to be using the 3 part curtain rod. I actually found them pretty cheap at Marburn curtain. Not sure where you are located but there is one in Hauppauge and one in Patchogue if that helps

I agree that this look would be great.
side note: The store moved to Merrick Road in Seaford.
