Help me find a NYC bar for my b-day
I'm trying to find a place to go with my friends for my birthday (which is not until the end of April, but I like planning). I'd prefer Manhattan, but if you know anything in Queens, that would be great too.
My criteria:
-Relaxed and laidback
-Ample seating
-Good music, but not loud enough that you have to yell to talk.
-GREAT drinks!
No lounges, clubs, etc...just a BAR, but something a little more fun than a dive bar.

I hear Death & Co is pretty nice. THey only let a certain amount of people in at once. They'll take your number and call you once there is enough room for more people to enter.

B Bar
I threw DH a surprise party there. You don't have to pay to have them reserve the entire back bar/area for you (unheard of in nyc). It is huge and fun and laid back!
eta: the back bar area is largely outdoors

DIP!!!! It's 3rd and 30th (maybe 29th?) They have really good martinis and drumroll......everything they serve (or almost everything food-wise) is dippable! Lots of fondue, spinach dip, etc. It's fun.

I love Dip but this is more of a restaurant.
I am a big Stout fan which is on w 33rd Street. There's also the Gingerman on East 36th Street. Both are just cool bars to hang out in.

There's also this place called Social on 8th Ave & 48th St. It has several floors, each with a different mood.
