Help me shop-need a dress for DS baptism

I'm probably a misses size 16 in dresses. March 27th so technically spring but realistically still cold. Something with matching shrug, sweater or blazer would be good for weather tho not req'd. I'd prefer not to spend more than $100. $50 or less would be great but if the dress is fabulous I'm willing to spend more. I'm a pear shape. Petite shoulders and bust but gigantic hips and thighs, esp post-partum. So things that are empire waist or a-line work better. DD will be wearing a light blue and yellow floral print and I have a matching ensemble for DS (argyle sweater vest and pants) but not sure if he will wear that at the party or if he will stay in white.

I know this may sound odd, but have you looked in Target? I got a dress last year there for the spring/easter and a first Communion I was going to and I got sooo many compliments on it. I think it was like $45. I was in Target the other day and saw they had a bunch of really nice spring dresses out already.

I also have found a cute dress or two that won't break the budget at NY&Co.

Thanks, Trish. I ordered a bunch from Target.com to try thinking I can return in store. I'm not sure if I can get out on my own to the store to try on but will see if I can.
