Target has really nice gift stuff. They have martini sets, flavored coffees, all kinds of stuff like that. It's all located near the Christmas stuff.
ETA: I got two of the girls I work with litte fondue pots that come with the chocolate and get melted by a little candle underneath. It was $9.99, but you can get a few things. I got a guy I work with alcohol flavored coffees and another girl I work with a chocolate martini set!

if you belong to BJ's or Costco, they have really nice gift baskets - Godiva, Starbucks, etc.
some other ideas are a soft throw/blanket, like down or micro fleece (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Target) or a stack of scratch off lotto tickets
