Help needed for fashion challenged momma!
I'm going on a business trip with my husband, and there is a beach dinner/music evening event. I've been told its "dressy casual." I'm guessing that means a sundress? Do you agree? The last time I bought a sundress I was about 30 pounds lighter and 10 years younger. So, can you help me with some suggestions for a mom with some baby fat around the middle and hips?

IMO, number 2 is tough to pull off unless you are skinny or it could look frumpy. I think number 1 is more forgiving.

I agree.
Is there a feature you would like to play up? Legs, cleavage, etc.? I would focus on showing off your best asset.
