Help: Nervous new mommy worring.. Not Eating Well?
12 weeks old No fever
This week she's been really strange with eating. Usually she eats about 4-6oz ever 3-4hours.
This week... Less than 4oz every 3-4oz
Today: Went to sleep last night at 1am 7:45 drank 3oz 10:20 drank 1 and a half oz
Uhmmm should I call the Pedi? If so what do I ask? Is this normal?
ETA: she's sleeping now, she's not overly cranky and she's pooping fine. (once daily, not hard, not watery)

You can call the doctor and ask exactly what you questioned here...is it normal?
How many wet diapers does she have...if it's seriously less than normal you'll want to speak to the doctor because of concerns about dehydration.
Many of us will agree that when our children were/are teething they take in less so this might be what she is going through. Could be a cold coming on that is making it hard for her to swallow/breath.
I used to offer the bottle more often when this happened so that even a few ounces here and there would add up.
How is she otherwise? Happy? Moving around?

hrmm Yes, she's happy and smiling, moving and kicking. She's sleeping right now but she always does that after she eats
Normal diaper loads. She drools SOOOOOO much!!! she soaks her tops!
Isn't she a bit young to teethe?
She is a bit hungier more often but still doesnt eat much even though I feed her a little earlier.

This happened to my ds. He went from eating 5-6 ounces to now 3-4 ounces, every 3 hours.
I'm guessing it's because of teething. He started teething at 2 months.

There's no set rule on when teething begins...some babies are even born with teeth...so we can throw that school of thought out the window. The drooling is interesting...usually (and I mean not always but most times) a sign of teething. Doesn't mean a tooth will pop up over night but she is going through something.
Like I said before, if there is nothing else to indicate a problem I would suggest trying to offer the bottle more often for a bit to up her intake. If you are concerned then call the doc...so what if he tells you it's nothing...we don't have medical degrees or instruction manuals...we have to ask.

If you specialize in pediatics then you wouldn't be posting this

I would do what Ang said and just offer the bottle more often. It's always nice to hear from the Ped that it's not abnormal, so just give them a call to make yourself feel better.
