I also love Salvatore and Luca...and Mario. My cousin is Gianmario which is also cute...

if someone in our fam didn't name their baby luke...i totally would use Luca... i also love matteo, Marco, GianPaolo,
also...Benicio is a spanish name but I think it works equally as well with an italian middle and or last name.

An Italian boys name DH and I LOVE but friends of ours named their baby (who's 2 now!)....

Also I love Paolo, but we know another couple who named their son this.

I LOVE Gianmarco - it sounds SO fabulous with his Dad's accent !!
Not so much when the rest of us say it though !!
That's how I feel with most/all names. DH's family Italian (1st generation) and my family is American/Italian (4th/5th generation) and they like "american" names.
For example: Antonio/Anthony---My family would say Anthony and DH's would say Antonio and DH would get upset (I'm sure, he's said he would).
That's why we're thinking of names that don't switch. Antother example: Luca or Vito.
