help please......I need ideas for paint color in this room
I'm going to start priming this room tomorrow, and I'm still undecided which way I want to go w/ the paint color.
this was originally the front porch of the house, however long ago the previous owner made it an enclosed porch. much to our surprise, when DH demolished the plaster walls, the original brick wall was in decent shape underneath (the original front of the house!). we like it, so we're keeping it in the room, and only painting 3 walls.
there's 5 windows in this room, so it gets plenty of light, but it's a rather small shape- about 7 feet across, by maybe 15 feet wide?
here's a before, complete w/ paneling, more yellow walls (yellow in this house was just endless!), and carpet, which we ripped out and installed new oak floors:
pls excuse the construction material- this is the brick wall:
close up of brick, bordered by new sheetrock:
I love earthy tones......should I just stick w/ a beige or something a little deeper in the brown family? or maybe a sage green? or do you think a completely different color would work? since its a small room, I'm not sure how darker colors would look. I also plan on cleaning the brick up a little bit, not sure if that would brighten it up from how it looks now.
thanks for your help!! I'm hoping to buy some Benjamin Moore paint this weekend!!

how do you plan to use the room? do you have any furniture for it yet? I think sage might be pretty. If you do brown or beige be careful not too pick anything with strong pink undetones, it will make you brick look pink. Good luck!

our master bedroom and living room is right next to this room, so we're going to put our computer desk in there (right now its in one of our 2 bedrooms upstairs). we might put a recliner in there too, for when I just want to lay back and read.
But for future use, I imagine using it to house our kids toys, I guess it would kind of be a play room. we have a ton of nieces & nephews, and when we have kids I just envision them all playing together in there, especially since it opens to the living room so we can kind of keep an eye on them.
thank you so much for your help!!!

I was thinking a sage too but I'd try a few samples first to see how the undertones look with the brick.

a deep beige that's more in the green family than yellow would look great with brick
