Re: Help Please..(rapid heartbeat after eating)
I haven't noticed it after eating per se, but I have noticed a more rapid heartbeat in general. My Mom even noticed my pulse beating in my neck after I laid down one day! She asked me if I was ok b/c my pulse was going so fast...I think it is just part of all the lovely changes our bodies are going through...

Did you eat something that was high in sugar or had caffine? Maybe what you ate had something to do with the HB speeding up. Im 19 weeks and have noticed my HB picking up a bit.

I'm not that far along but I definitely noticed an increase in my heartbeat after I ate chinese food two nights in a row! I never had that before. Maybe the salt?

Don't notice it specifically after eating, but do notice the increased heart-rate a lot. I'm sure salty foods or caffeine could have an effect, so make sure you're drinking tons and tons of water too!

Yes!!
I've been having that since around 24 weeks.
They even sent me to my cardioloigst who examined me and said that the increased blood flow during pregnancy is to blame and it's totally normal, but it still freaks me out everytime!!
It happens anywhere from 30-90 minutes after I eat.

It has happened to me off and on throughout my pregnancy. Palpitations are not abnormal. Sometimes I got them after I ate a big meal, sometimes i got them when I was just lying on the couch.

It sounds like you might have reactive hypglycemia. I get the same thing and it's worse when I eat sugar/carbs. It's common during pregnancy and dissapears after. Bascially when you eat your blood sugar drops and that's what brings on the heart palpatations.
