help-sleeping question for 12 week old
My son-12 weeks- usually goes to bed around 9-930 and will sleep until 130-2, have a bottle and sleep until 630. last night he took a nap at around 430-5 and I woke him up at 730 because I didnt want him to mess up the sleep. He didnt go to sleep last night until 11. I thought him going to bed so late he would sleep through the night but he was up at his regular times.
My question is what time do/did you put your child down for bed at this age? what was your routine. He will only sleep in the swing so I keep him at the end of my bed. I would really like to get him to sleep in the crib, I am just afraid because he has acid reflux and I dont want him spitting up. He also cant go to sleep unless I rock him either in my arms or in the carraige.

Re: help-sleeping question for 12 week old
My son will be 4 months tomorrow and he has just started sleeping through the night. My son takes his last bottle at 10pm then he goes to bed. We hold him for a bit afterwards bc of his reflux and then we put him down. Sometimes he spits up a little at night but not too much....his bad times are during the day He was really on his own schedule for a little while bc we were trying to get him to sleep through the night so depending on when he woke then we started our 4 hour feed cycle. But now we are pretty much stable. It will get better. Is your dc on any meds for the reflux? Jack is on Zantac but to be honest he hasnt been taking it recently. I feel like he has been doing better without it and the Gastroentenologist didnt really feel like he needed it all that much.. Good luck

yes, he is also on zantac. he does pretty good on it. Do you lie him flat at night? or do you have a wedge under the matress?

Re: help-sleeping question for 12 week old
Paige is 14 weeks and for around 5 weeks ago was sleeping through the night without waking up. She would go to bed around 8 or 9 and then sleep till 6.
All of a sudden she is now getting up again. Last night she was up at 330 and wouldnt go back. Everytime i put her in the crib she woudl wake up. No idea why. But im friggin tired.
My DD wont go to bed on her own either. I have to rock her in the glider until she falls asleep. If i just put her in the crib she will fuss and then start crying.
its to early (from what everyone says) to CIO so we are just doing what works for now. Whatever gets your DS to sleep i would do it.

he sleeps flat. i used to put something under the mattress but he would move so much that he would never stay on it! he outright HATES the taste of zantac...how do you give it to your dc....Jack would get it 15 minutes after the feed right in his mouth

Bella is a little over 4 months and we give her the last bottle around 9 and put her into her crib at around 9:30. i really try not to give it earlier or she wakes up earlier. if her schedule is off i manipulate the bottle before and give her less ounces so she will be want that last bottle!

I do the same thing. I would rather be a little off during the day with feeds than the last one at night!

I tried giving it to him in the mouth but it would drip, so I put it in the bottle.
