HELP! Stomach virus threatening to cancel this round of IVF!
Has this ever happened to anyone?
I've been up since 2a.m. with stomach cramping and violent bathroom issues. Ugh! I couldn't make my monitoring appt this morning because literally every three minutes I was running for the bathroom.
When I spoke to my nurse, she said I can proceed with injections tonight (my sixth night) as long as I'm not feverish. I could swear I have fever, I feel so hot and achey but the thermometer reads 98.2.
If I do have fever, I'll have to cancel this whole round and after five nights of injections that will devastate me.
I'm going to continue taking my temp until medication time but just wondering if anyone else has been in this situation?
There's a part of me worried that this isn't even a stomach bug, but rather side effects from the meds (Follistim, Menopur) but nurse says no.

ughh..im sorry. i dont think those meds are known for causing such reactions. could just be a 24 hr bug
if you're not running a fever then I would just push through it as best u can, and continue with your next round of meds.

Something soooo similar happened to me before we started my successful IVF cycle. I came down with a miserable stomach virus and would you believe.......... I took the LIRR to the city and just dealt with it   It was TERRIBLE and I ended up holding off starting the cycle. Best of luck with whatever you decide...... Even if you could delay by just one week, I'd probably do that rather than start now- but only you know how you feel. I know I was miserably ill and there was just no way......

I had kidney stones mid cycle and was obsessed with doing the cycle. I'd wish I would have held off. If your body isn't feeling right don't push yourself. It sucks,..but think about the big picture

Thanks everyone.
I was able to still do injections since my temp was below 101 (it had gone up to 100 at injection time).
I have 7 follies close in size and it looks like my retrieval will be this weekend. I was hoping for more, but am grateful for what I have and keep reminding myself quality over quantity.
I'm feeling better, but my stomach is definitely still iffy. I'm hoping and praying to feel 100% by retrieval day.
