Help, we don't know what to do about Tiny
Tiny is starting to change. He is constantly biting my hands when I sit on the couch and it's not teething, I can tell the difference. Every once in a while he'll go to nip at my nose or chin. Today we went to get his nails cut and he was growling and going to bite. It was embarassing. Needless to say we didn't get them cut.
I am afraid with my nephews and niece he might bite.

I'm not 100% sure, but it really hurts. I have tried coins in a can, a water spray bottle, sternly saying no and then giving a chew toy, putting in his cage with no toys and no bed and have even put pepper on my hand.

a LOT of calm mannered dogs will get defensive when at a vet or a groomer.
You have to see WHY he is nipping... Because he is playing? Because he is angry? Because he is being defensive?
And i think your dog is still a puppy no?
YOU have to teach him what is good and what is not good behavior...And in some cases remind them from time to time..
Dogs aren't naturally going to know that1

Re: Help, we don't know what to do about Tiny
I have had the same issue with Molly since we got her. She is so bad with the groomer - I finally found one that she wasn't a terror with.
As for biting - 90% of the day she is the most loving, cuddly pup - but then she gets all wound up and will bite us nonstop. It's annoying as he11 and the only thing we really do is give her toys to bite instead.
We tried the spray bottle - but she ended up LOVING it so now I have to sit there and spray the water into her mouth like a little princess.
