Help with destination for December Vacation!!
DH and I are looking to plan our next adventure between Christmas and New Years. We would like to go to Europe, but have been to a lot of the big cities.
We were thinking about either Germany or Spain (DH has been to both, I have not been to Spain or most of Germany) but I am not sure if that's where we want to go.
Any good ideas for destinations? We are totally open to places that are off the beaten path or not as popular.
We also were considering going to South America or on safari in Africa, but are not sure if we can financially swing it!!!!!

I vote for South America - either Argentina or Brazil, or maybe Chile. It will be summer down there in December.
The flights will be the most expensive part -- within S. America goods and services are very reasonable. Plus, the dollar goes further there than in Europe.

We want to go to Argentina! After watching this season's The Mole and researching the country, we fell in love. It has a very European feel (but without the Euro prices!).

If Christmas is your thing, I'd recommend going to Germany in December. Loads of Christmas markets, pagents, concerts...these are the people who brought us O Tannenbaum, after all!
