Help...feeding baby
Please tell me how you did a feeding schedule for your baby. As in what did you feed him/her first, what time, did you increase meals first before adding fruits or veggies, did you do veggies first or fruits first and when did you introduce the 3rd meal and what was it?
Liam's pedi wrote down this schedule which I think is TOO quick for him...
Day 1 - Grain serving 1x day Day 5 - Grain serving 2x day Day 10 - Grain and fruit serving 2x day Day 15 - same Day 20 - Grain & fruit for morning meal, fruit and veggie for lunch and grain and veggie for dinner.
And to go from there.
I think that's WAY to fast to start. I was going to do each thing for a whole week.
I just need to see other schedules. I need to write it down and put it on the fridge and also for daycare because it's sort of confusing for me, I guess. I don't know why. I guess I have so much on my mind.
Thanks!

Re: Help...feeding baby
How old is your DC? Matthew is 7 months old and this is his schedule
It all depends on what time he gets up but anyways:
He has a bottle in the morning and then cereal and fruit.
In the afternoon it's another bottle and then Veggies and Fruit for lunch.
In the early evening it's anothe bottle and then cereal and fruit for dinner.
Then somewhere between 8-10 pm he has a only a bottle before bedtime.

Re: Help...feeding baby
It doesn't seen unreasonable to me.
I didn't really have a schedule, but we introduced cereals first - rice, then oatmeal, then barley. After those we went right into fruits and veggies (veggies first). We didn't wait a week in between each new thing, but we did initially give it a few days to make sure there were no allergies.

same here. We went to 3 meals a day sometime around 6 1/2 months.

Liam is 5 mos old. How did you start off with food though? How much in the AM or did you start off by giving cereal in the PM first...that sort of thing.
I work F/T and I just want to have something I can visualize becasuse I will forget what he's gotten if I don't. And I'll forget what weed we're in and if I should start fruits or veggies...I'm horribly bad at keeping track of stuff when I'm busy and with my job, my dad not doing well and having a son, it's a lot to tend to. That's why I wanted to see what other moms did when they started solids w/ their children.

Thanks. How long did you wait to start 2 meals a day, then 3 meals a day?

Re: Help...feeding baby
I used a similar schedule as your ped gave you but went at a slower pace. I think I gave cereal once or twice a day for several weeks before I started on and fruits or veg. Then I felt like she was behind in the variety of foods she was eating so I sped up the pace and started waiting only 2 days between new foods.
