Re: Hemangioma???
Maddie was born with one on her belly. It'd spread out and is now almost unnoticeable.
Depending on where it is, how large, you need to make sure it's not near an organ.

Re: Hemangioma???
My DD has one on her back. Its raised and red. She has had it since she was born and now its getting a lot lighter in color and not so raised. I dont think you really have to worry about it unless your doc says so.

Re: Hemangioma???
Jenna has 2 on her stomach, one superficial and one deep. We also went for a sonogram to make sure it was not obstructing any vital organs and luckily all was ok. Her superficial one is already starting to fade

Re: Hemangioma???
My daughter Jaedyn had one on her tummy..its how we could tell the twins apart when they were born. It was gone by the time she was 18 months old..You can still see a little discoloration there but you have to really really look.

Re: Hemangioma???
DD has one on her belly that appeared a few days after she was born. It got bigger and redder and now (at 11 months) it is lightening and flattening out. We were told it could completely disappear within a few years.

Re: Hemangioma???
DD had one on the side of her face - we actually did surgery to remove it because it was so deep. If you end up going this route, feel free to fm me i'll give you our surgeon. In most cases they do go away - but our DD's wasn't. After they did her surgery they said it would have been there for quite some time and was becoming uncomfortable for her.. our ped dermatologist didn't recommend surgery until she was abt 6mos, and it had basically stopped growing, tho.
I hope your sono went well and it will go away soon !!!

Re: Hemangioma???
Taylor has 2, one on her stomach that is starting to really fade. The other is at the crown of her head. The ped suggested we see are ped dermatologist due to the location. Things turned out fine, the one on her head has gone down a lot and is fading as well.
We saw Dr Hayman....he was amazing!

Re: Hemangioma???
DD has small one on the inside of her lower lip. Ped said as long as it doesn't affect her sucking and eating (it hasn't so far) or her speech then it will be left as is. It's really tiny and looks to be fading already.

Re: Hemangioma???
DD has one on her shoulder...it started out very small and grew and became very big and puffy and red. She is 18 months old and we are noticing it is getting lighter but it is still large and raised. I was told to wait on this until about Kindergarten

DH's Goddaughter has one on the back of one of her ears. The ped told her mom that it should go away by the time she's 2.
