Hemotologist?

Ok so I have to go to the hemotologist/oncologist on Friday. I am so scared especially since its an oncologist too. My Red & White Blood Cell count was high. I have never been to one and have no idea what to expect? Anyone ever been??? I have no idea what is wrong with me and my Dr is teling me to just go to make sure 100% that I am ok. I am freaking out Please let me know what to expect it sounds so bad!!!!

Re: Hemotologist?

I see a hematologist for a blood disorder that I have.

I am pretty sure its routine for your Dr to refer you to a specialist for any bloodwork that comes back abnormal.

Most, if not all, hematologists are also oncologists, I am pretty sure. So don't let that scare you.

Try not to worry!!
