Here are the 4 finalist dresses (My last post, I swear!) POLL!
This is for a wedding this Sunday night.
Here is the one I got yesterday:
(I will call it black with turquoise)
Someone suggested it with a shrug:
(I forgot to pull the dress back down after putting the shrug on, oops!)
Black sheer with purple stripes:
(I added the shrug)
White with black shrug:
(This is actually the dress that the shrug comes with.)
Blue dress: (No, this doesn't come in black)

Out of all of them I really like the black the best!
ETA - I ink the original with the shrug is worth keeping for a casual event where you feel like wearing a dress though!

I want to thank everyone for helping me look at certain stores. Sorry to CC, who had those great ones from Fashion Bug. I really liked the one with the white sheer straps and cap sleeves, until I went to put it on. The dress is made out of very tiny spandex. there wasn't enough SPANX in the world to cover the michelin man look.

Where is it from?
Love it--very flattering. And I am usually against black dresses (boring) but the sheer layer & the stripes add interest. I love the neckline, where the waist & the hem hit you & how the sheer layer is a little longer than the lining, the proportions, everything.
I also like the white one, if the belt was tied a little higher. The black is a little fancier, though.

It is from Dress Barn. They have it in shimmering white stripes and another in shimmering teal/blue stripes.
I may be keeping the white one for my SIL's shower. (I really need to keep it for the shrug.) The tie also seems too low to me, but that's where they have the loops. The shower is 4 months away, so I have much more weight to lose and much altering to do to it. I will just put the tie around the seam under the bust.

I like the stripes...very fun, I love it!
2nd choice is white dress...I would def keep it b/c it can be worn to so many places.

Wow- Shorty was right-It's not your Grandma's Dress Barn anymore.
The white one would be great for a shower. You can definitely have a tailor move the loops.

The original dress is what I got at JCP.
The bottom 3 dresses are from Dress Barn. I got to try on sooooo many there today with sleeves. They were my savior after DS was born and I needed a dress for the baptism. I love them!
